CueID Terms of Use

Effective date: October 15, 2026

These Terms of Use govern your use of CueID.

By using CueID, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

What CueID Does

CueID helps identify music in audio files selected by the user. It can scan audio, display recognized tracks, export tracklists, and, with permission, create Apple Music playlists from identified tracks.

Music recognition results depend on audio quality, catalog availability, edits, remixes, background noise, and other factors. CueID does not guarantee that every song will be identified or that every match will be accurate.

Your Content

You are responsible for the audio files you choose to scan with CueID.

You represent that you have the rights or permission needed to use any audio files you process with the app. CueID does not grant you any rights to music, recordings, metadata, artwork, or other third-party content.

Apple Music and Shazam

CueID uses Apple technologies, including ShazamKit and MusicKit, to provide music recognition and Apple Music playlist features.

Apple Music features require your permission and may require an Apple Music account, Apple Music availability in your region, and compliance with Apple’s terms.

CueID is not endorsed by Apple, Shazam, or Apple Music.

Purchases

CueID is free to download, and your first scan is free. A one-time in-app purchase unlocks unlimited scans on Mac, iPhone and iPad. It is not a subscription and does not renew.

Payment is charged to your Apple Account. The price and what the purchase includes are shown in the app and the App Store before you buy.

Refunds

Purchases and refunds are handled by Apple. To request a refund, use Apple’s refund process: https://reportaproblem.apple.com/

Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse CueID, attempt to reverse engineer the app except where permitted by law, use the app to violate copyright or other laws, or interfere with the operation of Apple, Shazam, Apple Music, or related services.

No Warranty

CueID is provided “as is” and “as available.” We make no warranties that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or produce complete or accurate music recognition results.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, revenue, or business opportunities arising from your use of CueID.

Changes to the App or Terms

We may update CueID or these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
