The short version
Kanji Detective doesn't collect, store or share any personal data. There's no account, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking.
Data stored on your device
Your puzzle progress, streaks, statistics and whether you've unlocked Kanji Detective Plus are stored only on your device. They're never sent to us or to anyone else. If your device is backed up to iCloud or a computer, this data is included in that backup, which Apple's privacy policy covers. Deleting the app deletes this data.
In-app purchase
Kanji Detective Plus is sold through Apple's App Store. Apple processes the payment, and we never receive your name, payment details or other personal information. See Apple's privacy policy.
Links and sharing
Some example sentences link to their sources, such as Tatoeba and Wiktionary. These links open in your web browser, and those sites have their own privacy policies. When you share a result, the app hands the text to the iOS share sheet, and you choose where it goes.
Children
Kanji Detective doesn't knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
